OUR STORY

Plug-Media was founded on a simple belief:
the most effective brand strategies are the ones that work in real environments , not just in boardrooms.

Many FMCG and beverage brands invest in strategies developed far from where consumers actually engage. Yet restaurants, nightlife venues, and social spaces are where brand loyalty is built and purchasing decisions are made. Plug-Media exists to bridge this gap.

Founded by Tshiamo Raphalane, the company connects corporate brands with hospitality environments, ensuring that strategy translates into real consumer engagement.

With experience at SAB, Distell, Heineken Beverages South Africa, and Sir Fruit, Plug-Media brings together industry insight and practical execution to deliver partnerships that create measurable impact.

Tshiamo Raphalane

Tshiamo Raphalane is a strategic consultant with over 15 years of experience across sales, marketing, and commercial strategy in the FMCG and hospitality industries.

He has held roles at:

SAB, Distell, Heineken Beverages South Africa, Sir Fruit

At Sir Fruit, he achieved over 340% revenue growth by expanding into new market segments.

FOUNDER’S NOTE

When I founded Plug-Media, it was driven by a clear observation from my years in the beverage and hospitality industries:

some of the strongest brand strategies don’t always succeed in real environments.

 

I saw firsthand how strategies developed in boardrooms often failed to translate into meaningful impact in restaurants, bars, nightlife venues, and social spaces,  where consumers actually interact with brands.

Plug-Media was built to bridge that gap.

Our work focuses on connecting brands with the environments where real engagement happens. We believe the most effective partnerships are those that understand both sides, the strategic intent of the brand and the operational reality of the venue.
